Transport Training Services is a social enterprise focusing on apprenticeships and career development training specifically for the transport industry in Northern Ireland.
We deliver a range of accredited courses and bespoke training to develop talent for businesses and for truck and bus professionals, including initial driver training; career development courses, such as Driver CPC, Transport Manager CPC; and specialist compliance courses such as DGSA, ADR, irtec licensing and IRTE workshop accreditation.
We also provide industry-leading apprenticeships to support the transport sector in securing its future workforce. Transport industry apprenticeships include commercial vehicle (truck) driving, passenger transport (bus/coach) driving, heavy vehicle technician, logistics operations, warehousing and storage, service advisor, parts advisor and vehicle sales programmes, as well as customer service, team leading and management.
As the training delivery arm of the registered charity, Transport Training Board for Northern Ireland, TTS has a genuine, longstanding interest in facilitating best practice and the highest levels of compliance for the transport sector.
Our focus is on providing class-leading expertise, purpose-built facilities and modern teaching methods to deliver relevant skills for the 21st century.
I have noticed a big change in my apprentices from they started going to tech. They are wanting to learn and get hands on.
We have worked closely with TTS in apprenticeship recruitment and training for a number of years. TTS provide initial filtering and testing of applicants for our depots in Mallusk and Portadown and this ensures that we get the right young people into the company. TTS technical trainers also visit our workplace on a regular basis to assess apprentice competence on the job.
