Event Location:

Transport Training Services, 15 Dundrod Road, Crumlin, Co Antrim BT29 4SS

This two-day course provides experienced mechanics/technicians with a qualification (approved by DEFRA), which fulfils the scope of Commission Regulation EC842/2006 for F-gas (fluorinated greenhouse gas) handling. The legislation requires that companies working with air conditioning systems must have a qualified gas handler on staff.

The candidate will learn the principles of refrigeration systems and the practical skills to enable them to discharge and recharge air con systems safely and in an environmentally friendly way, using a range of equipment and vehicles.

Any motor vehicle service centre or accident repair centre that offers air conditioning servicing to its customers must have technicians with this or equivalent qualifications. We deliver the IMIAL Level 3 Award in Automotive Refrigerant Handling so that each accident repair centre and automotive service & maintenance centre/garage can be sure that it complies with regulations.
